Exterior Lighting,
sensitively designed
We help developers overcome planning obstacles by demonstrating to local authorities how a development can be provided with functional and compliant exterior lighting.
How we work
We are independent
We work collaboratively
We are flexible
We have no ties to specific lighting manufacturers or products. Factors such as environmental setting, application, and the aspirations for your project will inform our recommendations to ensure appropriate exterior lighting is proposed exactly where it is needed.
We ask relevant stakeholders such as ecologists, architects and local authorities the right questions to cut through the noise, quickly establishing constraints and aspirations surrounding existing or proposed exterior lighting at your development.
We know that all projects are unique. We have access to a range of advanced lighting simulation software packages which enables us to accurately calculate all forms of obtrusive light, generate compliance reports, isolux contour plots, assess and present ecology impact, and much more.

Lighting Strategy
Lighting Strategy
Informed by national and local policy and industry guidance
Defines the baseline, sets acceptable obtrusive light thresholds, and identifies any potentially sensitive receptors
Provides suitable mitigation, lighting specification, and performance specification for consideration at the next design stage
Lighting Impact
Assessment
Lighting Impact Assessment
Designed to show how your site can be provided with sufficient, compliant exterior lighting, verified against industry guidance
Pseudo-colour and isolux contour plots, clearly indicating quantity of light spill
Lighting strategy, mitigation, and recommended specifications
